Haven't used it in a long while, but I think you can right click on the page and delete is one of the options.

Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature.

No, there is no such option. And obviously I would have checked there before posting here.

[Edit > Select Page] followed by [Edit > Delete Page]

    or

[Right click on page] > [Select Page] > [Del] key or [Right click on page] > [Delete Page]

This is a piece of early '90s software and it shows... still my favorite note-taking application though.

    Thanks!

Yeah, no other software come close, which is weird since MS software are not my first choice for anything else lol, probably due to the lack of interest in Note taking software and lack of competition.

If only journal has the ability to add straight lines.

You can draw a line pretty much as crooked as you like, then right-click to select it, then from the top menu choose [Actions] > [Change Shape To] > [Line]

Same way with ellipses and rectangles, Journal straightens them up.

Once again the feature is there and it works, but the interface hides the functionality in hard-to-guess places. Why can't I simply [right-click] > [Delete page], or [right-click] > [Shape to line]...

To make it faster, you could use AutoHotkey. Once the shape is selected, you could use a hotkey, an onscreen toolbar, or a button somewhere to send the following command to straighten the line automatically:

    Code:
WinMenuSelectItem, ahk_class JournalApp,, Actions, Change Shape To, Line
Let me know if you're ever interested in exploring this and need help.

Thanks! But that only works with one line, and is extremely cumbersome to execute.

If I want to draw a simple two lines by two lines to make a nine cell table, is it possible to do? MS could have easily added the shape function found in paint into journal.

The more features you ask for, the more it seems you could use OneNote. Right tool for the job and all.
