This might be a really noob question but I can't find the answer anywhere.

I just got the vivotab smart window 8 tablet and when i plug in the usb on the tablet and my PC nothing happens. I would expect some kind of window to pop up to ask do i want to transfer file or not. Nothing happens. I have no idea how to transfer file from my PC to my tablet.

    Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks

    1. Buy a microUSB to USB OTG adapter on amazon for $2. Then you can plug any USB stick or low power external hard drive to the tablet.
    2. Create a home group on your PC (win 7/8) and join the home group with your tablet.

Since the vivotab smart is just a normal PC, you cannot connect it to a different pc with a usb cable. You have to use a network to transfer files, or use a usb stick as illidanx explained.

A windows homegroup is the easiest.

In PC create a FPT Server, in vivotab on bar file explorer type: fpt://xxx... Transet file OK
