Thought some might find this interesting: http://fabiennemaurer.com/flo/tablet/
I hate to be a troll here, but I have to comment on this. That is pretty amazing! I so totally want to do that
Nice... but not for me.
I don't have the time to build and sort out any ongoing problems.
Call me old fashioned but I'd rather spend the extra and have a manufacturer build me a standard machine... and if anything goes wrong with it.... I blame them and not my inadequate technical brain.
That's pretty amazing, building your own Modbook. It's too bad Apple doesn't see the Tablet market as economically viable, and that there's nobody selling a convertible tablet Macbook.
That is an awesome philosophy.
It's far from perfect, but a good idea nonetheless =) I was thinking of trying this with a 7" LCD for a homebrew PMD, but the resources for that don't exist yet (-> poor college student)
I'd go with P8RSON's philosophy for anything Mac-hardware-related, don't want to be messing around with expensive hardware... I'm up for anything else though.
Isn't the OSX96 project more appealing at the moment? Especially when everything works... http://gsbd41316.wordpress.com
But hey it's true, the modbook is going to be a hell nicer to look ;-)
