Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to photography and been using Picktorial to edit my photos. I wanted to improve on my portrait photography and been reading tips about it online. I've read here: https://www.picktorial.com/blog?aid=100007 about cross camera and creative profiles (featuring Canon EOS 4DD, Nikon D300, EOS 5D, and many others) that are apparently sold separately. I wanted to try it but didn't want to spend my money without knowing if the camera profile package is worth it. Anybody purchased the camera profile on Picktorial? Is it worth the price?

I'm thinking of trying out other software for post edits too, please leave some suggestions here if you have any.
P.S. I want to try anything else other than Photoshop.

    Thanks a lot.

Photography isn't my thing so I have no idea how useful this will be, but it wont cost you anything to find out if there is something useful for you. Partha has a list of links down on the right column, and he offers Gimp builds specifically aimed at photographers. https://www.partha.com/
