thefinalgamer, you were able to burn your recovery disks?
if you haven't emptied your recycle bin, try restoring the files you deleted.

I think by mere virtue of the fact that you found those files it is probably true that recovery disks were burnt once before have you installed sp1?

I saw some users on the NBR forums mention that after installing sp1 they couldn't make a second set of disks.

What happens if you restore via the recovery partition. It restores Vista without SP1 so you can then burn the new discs following the procedure Drtigerlilly posted to create additional recovery disc's?

Or does SP1 edit/delete something in the recovery partition?

I've just tried to create ISO's of my recovery disc but they failed saying CRC errors.

ok only had HPCD.sys in my d: (no where else) renamed it as wellas made a backup) ran the recovery manager and it worked fine!

rebooted and my recovery partition is still thre and was bootable
