Japanese is one of the recognized languages in OneNote and it specifically states that it recognizes handwriting in that language. This is a huge boon if you happen to teach Japanese to Westerners. This way, they can train themselves in writing legible characters.

So today I thought I'd begin to make some teaching materials, and the grand finale would be that the student writes a short phrase in Japanese, selects it with the lasso and has it recognized.

Well, I had to check that it would work so I wrote a short sentence. Then I began the recognition, I even had selected the pen for handwriting only, recognition started with a small Window appearing stating "OneNote is processing the ink on this page" with a small progression bar underneath it. When it gets to about 20% One Note becomes unresponsive. Hangs itself until I stop the recognition.

Does anyone have any idea about what is going on here?
