I have a Cintiq Companion 2 and having tried the Apple Pencil I've found it just as good. Admittedly that's limited experience.

Re. the slipperiness, just use a grip on the Pencil and a matte screen protector on the iPad Pro?

As for the Surface Pens, it's going to take yet another generation. IAF is still too high.

For me, a matte screen protector ruins the entire display experience. THE answer is for Apple to do some work on material design for the tip. There's a guy on Reditt that described wrapping the tip in plumber's tape (that white stuff) and it gave a great "feel" while writing, but does leave a residue on your screen - point being, it is something they COULD do if they weren't so damn stubborn about they are always right!

PS - Hey Tim, how's that toaster/refrigerator metaphor working for you now buddy after such great success for Surface Pro and your own MacBook Air killing iPP 10.5 + iOS 11?
