Google Says 13.2% of Android Devices in Use Are Tablets or Phablets

    The February edition of Google's report on Screen Sizes and Densities is out, and it reveals that 13.2% of Android devices have screens larger than 5 inches. Full-size tablets make up 4.5% of computers running this operating system.

    That said, the percentage of tablets is actually somewhat higher than this. Google calculates this figure from the configurations of devices that visit the Google Play store, and Amazon's Fire tablets donit have access to that store. As Amazon is the third largest tablet maker worldwide, the figures quoted above are likely at least a few percentage points lower than they should be
