The only power option I really wanted to get back was High Performance. It appears that the power scheme is still there but it's just not visible in control panel Power Options or in powercfg when you list available schemes. I decided to try switching to High Performance GUID anyway just to see what would happen. Turns out it still works even though it's not listed as an option. Sneaky. Not sure if that was MS or Samsung ... but sneaky. HOW TO SWITCH TO HIGH PERFORMANCE: 1. Open command prompt. 2. Type (or copy and paste) powercfg -s 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c. At first I wasn't sure if it just showed the name "High Performance" or if it actually changed the performance settings. I can tell you that I use Stardock Multiplicity 2 so I can use my ATIV sort of like a second monitor - in "Balanced" mode it works very poorly and the mouse is jerky and jumpy, but in "High Performance" it's beautifully smooth. YMMV. If you switch back to Balanced, the High Performance setting will disappear again so I created a batch file that will automatically load the High Performance setting and pinned it to my task bar.
