Welcome garfield, may i ask what your EAD actually is?
Are you telling me that your EAD is delayed? XD I love Gateway.
BTW, I played with an old Averatec C3500 up in work today (it came in with some issues, not the least of which being that it only had XP SP1, but I digress)...the screen was in really good condition for it being a few years old. I actually did not see any scratches, so maybe tablet screens are made to be pretty durable. As for the overall experience, it's dated technology and a UC-Logic screen so I can't really make any comparisons to the C-140x, but inking was fun and now I'm more psyched than ever to get my own tablet
The c3500 has an active type digitizer so the sensor is underneath the LCD display. This means that the surface is pure glass or a very hard plastic. This arrangement is much more resistant to scratches compared to technologies that require a pliable membrane on the surface which also tends to make the image look grainy.
I have ordered my gateway c140x on june 29
and i have not got it till now it is delayed till 4september 2007
i do not think that any one ordered his laptop before me here
This compnay can not be trusted any more.
Sorry I wasn't clear, my EAD is Sept. 10th (I put it in my signature, but my signature is not showing) I got this EAD from the start due to the parts being on backorder. However according to my rep it might get here sooner.
I'm playing aroung on a Vista machine rght now. It's not a tablet, but it has Journal/Handwriting recognition. I wrote this with just the trackpad (pretty messy), and Vista recognized it with no "problem." LOL
A moment of silence please for my original EAD is passing today....Thank you!
As is mine. * eeeh yay yay soo nah me nay...* (monty python)
Join the club... Mine passed a while ago
