    I am new to this forum. I just found it today looking for reviews on the C-140x, having ordered one today.
    I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!:p It is supposed to be delivered on the 17 of Sept(fingers crossed).
    These next two weeks + are going to seem like the longest of my life!

    no no no... Go to NewEgg and get the 2GB module for $100. Coupled with one 512MB you have in there already (2x512MB) you will have more memry for cheaper....

    I just ran 3dmark05 again, this time while vista was calm and got a score of 2232 (past score was 1919). I did nothing special to get the increase (eg. closing every possible program and disabling windows aero).

    I wonder: is there a way to tell Vista to ramp down its use of resources when you need the extra gaming power?

    Well, I don't know if it works on Vista. But I used to use a program called FSAutoStart (or something along those lines) that enabled me to launch a game and shutdown processes and services for the duration that the .exe is running.

    Get a faster processor if you can, buy 2-4gb ram on newegg.com and order through a sales rep. Just cancel your order through the sales rep if you can.

    first, do an online quote. then either talk to a sales rep online, or call. folks have posted their rep info here.

    Ther eis Shayla and Harper for example.

    They can lower that quote further.
