    Hello all.
    I have a Samsung Galaxy Book S.
I can't get the damn thing to boot from a USB. Any insight would appreciated.

Congrats on your new toy. What are you trying to boot into, just WOA? Why does it need to be from USB, is the normal boot failing?

I have had it a few months, but thinking about maybe putting an ARM based Linux distro on it.

Seems like getting WOA devices to boot from USB is hard. Maybe that post here helps.

Post back here if you have success especially with specific distro you use. We tried without success with a handful of publicly available linux builds out there and the only one we've seen was a custom build that one of our engineers saw that a Samsung engineer had.

I have not been able to get it to boot from ANY usb drive. Some will reconize it at the boot menu, but when choosing it still boots it starts to then it reboots and goes into Windows still.

The post wasn't too helpful in my situation. Or at least it didn't seem like it had any info that would help with a Samsung machine.

Yeah I meant the last post there. Seems like for that user, a different USB stick made the difference. Not sure if it makes a difference for the Book S.
