So you're saying it gets hotter in that region eh... I guess it's possible.

The other thing I was thinking of is that mic hole there. I wonder if dust is making its way through that. Or perhaps those convenience buttons.

Kureshii, what type of tape did you use?

Just normal clear tape (the slightly more expensive variety); my screen protector is an overhead projector transparency cut to size (protector on a budget ^_~). It's taped almost all the way round, except at the button panel, graphic LCD and screen clip.

I doubt it's the mic - looks like there's a sponge filter of sorts already. About the buttons... perhaps. But it looks like they're sealed fairly tight. Perhaps it's time for another disassembly...

Or maybe we should start issuing screen tape-up advisories =)

I've had my T4220 for about a month and I haven't noticed any build up of dust in my screen whatsoever. I run it for quite a while every day because it is pretty much my desktop replacement. Do you guys mostly run it in tablet or laptop mode?

how often did you leave your tablet in slate mode overnight.
I suspect that this could be the reason.

Hi guys do you know any good tape that doesnt leave adhesive once removed. I am thinking of using it to cover covers, until middle of fall, so i can sent tablet for fixing.

I think 3M tape should be good enough, you'll know it when you see it - the roll doesn't pick up dust on its side easily.

Hn.. No dust here on my T2440. I wonder what's up :/ I never get intense heat on my screen though, just on the base and side with the vent.
