anyword on how much more this will be than the current T4215?
I would expect the pricing to be no different to the current stock T4215.
This was the same going from the T4210 to the T4215 and that had in my opinion a better update.
really? you think so?
well from what i here the difference b/w CD and C2D right now is minimal since most software doesnt support 64bit.
but with an 800fsb and upgraded graphics chip (and robson) it seems like a pretty sweet upgrade to me. and hopefully it will have some other nice improvements.
Yes Ben, the upgraded chip and 800FSB is nice to see but still only a jump in what one would expect in an incremental upgrade.
Now had there been something extra such as a motherboard and chassis change that allowed Dedicated Graphics, Firewire, S-Video, 5 Card Reader, Improved Communications, etc, then that I would call a marked improvement over the T4210 to T4215.
As it stands, it's just a gradual enhancement.
yeah dedicated graphics would be really nice. and a DVI instead of VGA... the rest really wouldnt do much for me.
and isnt there a motherboard change to run the new chips with 800fsb, slot o orrobson if they have it, and new GMA...
i could be mistaken, but surely they had to design/upgrade the motherboard.
Wow. Thanks Simster. That doesn't look too bad.
Read again Ben; I said a Motherboard change that would allow Dedicated Graphics, Firewire, S-Video, 5 Card Reader, Improved Communications, etc.
Obviously there would have to be a chassis change to also accomodate these.
