    Big news, all:

The TabletPCReview forums will soon undergo major changes. We will be moving off of vBulletin, to a newer, more streamlined platform called XenForo. XenForo was created by programmers who developed vBulletin so there are many similarities and the learning curve will be very small. In fact, it is much easier to use on an intuitive level than vBulletin. And while it maintains all of the tooling you’ve come to expect from vBulletin, the official add-ons list is much more robust. Here are some screen caps of the developmental site that we've tested out with our Brighthand forum, so you can get an idea of what to expect:

Once the transition is complete, all the same content/profile info will be there and you'll be able to log in as usual, so you can quickly do what you've always done. In addition to enjoying a simpler, cleaner design, other sites that have made this transition have experienced significant increases in site speed and page load times.

Any questions or concerns you have, please post them here. Many of the moderators have gotten a sneak peek at the new site and can help with answering questions. We'll also be updating the forum FAQ with a full list of changes (terminology, etc.) upon launch. After launch we'll also start up another thread specifically related to issues you experience.

Hope you're as excited as we are for the brand-new TabletPCReview! I'll update this thread as soon as we know a specific launch date.

The design will be responsive, so not a different mobile style.

I'm not sure I understand you. Right now the forum offers 3 skin choices:

    - vB4 Default Style
    - New TPCR Style v421
    - Default Mobile Style

I use the last one which is cellphone-friendly and spares me of using TapaTalk.

With XenForo, there will be a default style and a custom style, both of which will be mobile-friendly, adjusting depending on screen size and orientation. Thus there is no separate mobile style needed. (Tapatalk will also be an option.)

Will all the old threads, post historys and such remain, or will everything be wiped clean?
