    Hello

You might of missed my first post:
First image of Core 2 Duo Tablet PC? :)
    http://forum.tabletpcreviewspot.com/showthread.php?t=2611

Now I bring you an even more stunning potential announcement:

I have been studying intel's release of Core 2 Duo and how it has been letting reporters walk around and interview different Intel employees....and what do you think I find.......I believe this may the year of the Detachable tablet!!

So...you want to see the evidence:

    Exhibit A:
(See the attached picture picture below)
the piture on the right is the detachable screen (red case) and the picture on the left is a screen that attaches to the back of the computer and can be raised.)
and here is the link to the intel new conference it come from:

scroll down the page to see picture of concept computers 2006

    Exhibit B:
The movie that shows the detachable screen (using wifi I believe)
1)The first labtop is the same computer that is on the right of the picture below.
    2) The second tablet PC is the same computer on the left from the picture below -note the three sided white sliders in both the video and picture below)
(notice how it slides along a track.....will with just a little help..you can take that off the track....and you have a detachable screen)

So what do you think.....is Smartdog barking up the right trail?

Just remember Smartdog brought this to you....Woof..Tablet PCs and beyond!

Yeah I think the old hinges are getting old and it never hurts to have some new designs here and there. Only problem is that with the cool one where you can bring the screen closer to you is that you are going to see some high quality hinges or its just going to be SO wobbbly.

It looks like I'm probably going to end up waiting for a while before I actually get a tablet so it's great to see that they are actively creating new designs. Tablets are a real fledgeling market and I think it's going to get bigger pretty soon. While I won't be able to get one soon at least I'll have some great options.

Just like Laptops outstripped sales of desktops for the first time in history, tablets will eventually do the same.

Demand is always good as it brings prices down, which ends in yet more demand and so on.....
Again this is evident in the prices of laptops today compared with laptops this time last year.
