Okay, so if any of you have had issues calibrating the passive touchscreen, this worked for me :D

    from:
    http://memoforproblems.blogspot.com/2008/01/touchscreen-problem-on-my-laptop.html

    I did:

    tabcal lincal novalidate XGridPts=5,175,512,849,1275 YGridPts=4,137,300,463,796

    logged off and worked,

    I had also tried:
    tabcal lincal novalidate

seems to do the same thing, but it does work, make sure to log off after you calibrate!

If anyone wants the registry entries in linearity data it seems to generate I would be happy to post it.

Now off to make a backup image of my fresh install

    Interesting fix, great find chihping!

Hopefully this helps others resolve their calibration issues with their touchscreen. :)

Should this be part of ScotchtapeLoser's sticky?

    Noob question alert:

How does one set the manual parameters for tabcal?

Prior to seeing this, which I will try later, I would set (in XP on a TX1220US) the touch kit calibration to 25 point. That change from 4 point to 25 point certainly helped the tracking.
