I'm really, reaaaaally interested on it. But I bet I will start weeping when I see the price tag... Any idea about how much it will cost?

Yeah the price could be a bit sketchy.

Has anyone else noticed the price increace in the UK from £1075 to £1300 over the course of this summer???

Ive been watching this hoping for the dual core version to come out befor I goto uni.

Just trying to figure out whether they are trying to get as much money out of their old stock or wherther they want to hike up the price so the core duo2 can be MORE expensive than it needs to be.

..and it's a doozy. only 12" with dedicated graphics!

I must disagree here. the screen is always exposed, leaving it vulnerable to damage and wear. the convertable form is much better. (unless acer made it so you could detach the keyboard.)

Heheh... sounds perfect except for the screen form factor. I prefer the rotating hinge too :)

    Correct...
You either love or lothe the collapsable screen hinge.

Personally I would rather the screen be able to rotate (both ways with the T4210) so I can show the person my screen as I work on it.

i.e. I regularily go over the farm with one of the work hands.
When he is driving I can easily show him the screen whilst I carry on typing.

Hmmm looks interesting. That sort of hinge has advantages and disadvantages...personally I think the convertable hinge probably wins out in most respects (adjustability, ability to protect the screen) but collapsable hinges are stronger and also the screen would be better supported if you want to write on it while it's open. It does annoy me a little that my T4210 isn't stiffer...I sometimes want to use the pen while it's open and find it kinda wobbly...have to support it with my hand.

I'm sure I'd find my arms trailing all over the keyboard though with the Acer.

It should be equivalent of its predecessor, the C200, which weighed in at 5.7 pounds.
