Now that the eeenote has a perfect reader the last remaining question is how much energy it consumes. Is there a battery monitor out there, or does anyone have gathered some experience?

I would rather be worried about functionality :) We need highlighting and annotations. The power outlet is always near by. :)

Indeed! Any chance of implementing the annotating functions in fbreader?

Hm ... what is "highlighting and annotations"? :) Does coolreader3 have it? :)
(I can try to compile it for Eee Note)

has to be a pdf reader. We desperately need a solution to read PDFs and annotate them. That has to work in landscape mode, that is the main problem with the eee PDF reader. I read a lot before to buy it but I never expected that the tool set will not be available in landsacpe mode!

While that worked, fullscreen mode always skips the first few (depending on fontsize?) lines at the top, which is not what you want :(

Btw, could you post the source code of fbreader?

I've compiled and even runned coolreader3, but it doesn't open any file due to a strange internal error concerned with caching. Main advantage of this work - proving, that cmake-based programs can be compiled for Eee Note :)

I'm doesn't think that coolreader is much better than fbreader. Theoretically, i can ask for help from cr3 author, but IMHO there are many more important targets in improving Eee note :)
