Hi, i'm currently reviewing the logistics of having a fairly cheap tablet computer (potently running an android OS) that would be controlled/helped by another networked desktop computer.
Through online reserch i have conducted has so far failed to find an implemented case of this sort of project, i would be most thankful of any help that could be provided

    Other information:
The desktop runs both windows 7 64 bit home premium and Ubuntu Linux

What exactly do you mean with controlled/helped?
The best you can do is to remote control your windows machine using tools like SplashTop , or any other VNC client, or tunnel to your linux installation.

Fairly cheap tablet is relative, but this only works with a potent Android tablet, so not the cheapest ones.
