yesterday a tech support person at ev called me. he was incredibly informed, nice, patient and helpful. he has allayed much of my anger. i hope this really bad first experience turns out to be a fluke. i will keep you guys posted on the saga. whenever i have an issue, he said i should contact him. i will. i like that i will be interacting with one person through out as opposed to different people who take no account for anything. and i hope my machine is returned to me silent and cool, quickly. i have enough faith at the moment to hold my breath.
