    Hi hoongss,
No, I don't think that's necessary. Right now there's no driver installed. I'm going to simply install the driver you mentioned, reboot, and let you know what comes up in the Device Manager now. I'm assuming that's what you would do when VPNing in as well, correct?

OK, installed the driver, saw it install, rebooted for good measure, NMEA's not there. As a note, when I installed the driver, the WWAN interface was OFF via the HP Wireless Assistant. I turned WWAN on for good measure after it was installed to see if it found anything extra. NMEA still was not found.

    Other notes:
Reading through the installation window for the EXE downloaded from HP for the latest Gobi driver for the tm2, (not the 311 as you mentioned) it looks like some firmware is updated.

Also, if I don't have a SIM card (which I have never inserted into my tm2) and select a provider, and hit Back in the wizard, I see a lot more providers than Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

    The providers it lists are:
    • AT&T
    • Orange
    • Sprint
    • Sprint International
    • Telecom Italia Mobile
    • Telefonia
    • T-Mobile
    • Verizon International
    • Verizon Wireless
    • Vodafone
    • Other Provider

Also, if I select Sprint, I noticed a driver was installed for this device: "HP un2420 HS-USB QDLoader (COM5)".

Do you have a quick list of what you did? If its in the thread mind pointing me to it? As I said earlier I have Verizon so I don't know if that matters.

    Thanks again!
