    Hi people,

I'm using the latest RU firmware (BTW, no perceptible difference with the previous TW one), and my EeeNote has trouble being put to sleep recently. After pressing the power button, the screen turns blank (good), and, a few seconds (~5) after, it wakes up displaying "Saving user's ..." (bad).

Anyone experiencing the same, and better still, having a solution?

    Have a good day.

The on/off button is sensitive sometimes.

I've pressed it to wake it up sometimes and it blinks on -- then immediately off! This has also recently happened the other way! (turning it off, only to see it come on again after a second.)

    Could be poor button construction?

    i think it's bottom's problem.
you might press it once ,but it feel you press twice
Sometimes I also encountered this problem
i press the bottom ,it went blank ,but it wakes up immediately

Mmh, don't think it is this, cause it wakes up even when it goes to sleep by itself (after the 5-minute idle timeout). Thanks for your answers.

Mine has just started doing this a couple of hours ago; I put the screen on standby, and it stays asleep as expected for about 5 minutes before suddenly it wakes itself up again. This is regardless of whether I have it set to auto-sleep every 5 minutes or every 30 minutes. I also sometimes see it awaken immediately after clicking 'standby'.

It's still charging off the mains while I describe all this, so I hope it acts differently whilst not charging. Did you find a solution in the end, Micha?

If it does this try to always return to the "home" screen -- I have a hunch that it wakes when it needs to save something (such as an open note).

(I should add this happens when the battery is below 80%)

I could be totally wrong though.

No solution per se, but I noticed that this was a byproduct of launching a console. In fact, console is rather buggy on my device ; sometimes, there is a loss of focus of the console window, so that I see the main screen, but with the keyboard (and keyboard events going to the console). I stopped working on my foldered-view of notes (which was console based, with mouse input), and since then, no wild wake-up.

I never "dismantled" by eeenote. And FYI, this is driving me crazy: it started doing it again today.

Going to the Home does not solve the problem. Killing the note process, erecord, and the keyboard neither. Damn it!
