It seems like primarily after the anniversary update my Edge browser has been very slow. In particular pages partially load, then just sit there for several seconds before fully loading. I suspect ad spam, but have both the adblock extension and adguard working. Also whenever I use Edge the fans on my SP3 go nuts. I'm forced to use Chrome, which isn't great but currently much faster than Edge. In looking at task manager Edge seems to use up about double the memory Chrome uses on the same page.

I've tried clearing cache and settings. I even completely reinstalled Edge through powershell and it actually ran decently for a few minutes. I was waiting for the AU in order to fully switch over to Edge, but now I can't deal with it. Anyone else? Any tips for making this run faster or is this a know issue with the AU?

No solution, but I've disabled extensions for now, because ironically it seems like the ad blocker made things slower rather than faster.

I've been seeing intermittent rendering errors on this site but not on others.

If you type About:Flags and tick Enable TCP Fast Open, I find that speeds up loading times.

Tcp fast open hosed Edge, it would blue screen my pc anytime I opened Edge. I had to fully reinstall with powershell. I highly recommend not to do this.

I've set TCP Fast Open on each of 25 AU installations without any significant issues.
