I really don't know, but one think I don't like is the lack of connected standby the device come with thunderbolt just like Elite x2 or XPS 13.

So for me prefer connected standby feature over thunderbolt.

It is, don't know about the model number though. But Toshiba has named their laptops Dynabook on the domestic market from the beginning, so it is a well established brand name in Japan. NEC has LaVie.

Interesting...sharp eye. ;) That is definitely an old picture. Here's an updated look at the ports: Capture.JPG

Yes, there are two flavours of USB3.1 Type-C. Gen1 is basically USB3.0 with a new physical interface. Gen2 implements the awesome Thunderbolt3 digital interface. This is unfortunately only Gen1. :(

Yeah. Too bad. Def important to remember when looking at these devices. TB3 is just such a boon for future expansion, I'd always consider looking for it on a device UNLESS you get an awesome deal on older hardware.

With that ridiculous very high prices Toshiba offer especially it's not gone have any kind success at least in Europe.
Plus the lack of availability and difficulty to find them another negative prospect.

Nice review, I've only tried it in store and assumed the atrocious sound was due to ambient noise but those speaker grills sure looked tiny. Unfortunately this is probably another sign of Japanese production losing out to Koreans.

    Nice review!

Question: Are those Wacom nibs made from some sort of special conductive material or can any old plastic nib do the job?
