I know this is bit of a minor complaint, but I have a rather large spec of dust between the glass cover and the LCD screen on my TX2500z. I figure there's a way to snap off the glass cover (touchscreen?) or something to that effect to clean it, or maybe try shooting compressed air through the locking mechanism at the top of the screen? I mean there has to be a way it got in there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, does anybody know how to clear it out? It's very obstructing.

I do have a 3 year accidental damage warranty, but I hear that can take up to several weeks to receive a replacement if used.

I have the same problem, basically, it can't be fixed by the user, and trying to would void your warranty. Without something else wrong I highly doubt HP is going to fix it without huge fight.
