    BACKGROUND

In both XP (with 'Windows Search') & Vista (Home Premium)...
I cannot get OneNote 2007 to use "NOT" & "-" search syntax.

    PROBLEM

I am having a problem with this syntax:

    Website:
    Code:
    http://news.softpedia.com/newsImage/The-Complete-Windows-Vista-Search-Operators-Dictionary-6.png

    EXAMPLE

For example, I have two notes.
Note #1 has the keywords "TagVenezuela" & "TagPDVSA".
Note #2 has the keywords "TagVenezuela" & "TagOrinoco".

    I want to search:
    Code:
    TagVenezuela NOT TagOrinoco
This should eliminate Note #2, because the undesired keyword "TagOrinoco" is present.

Instead, OneNote does not recognize the search syntax.
It returns a "no results" error message.

    QUESTION

Does OneNote understand "NOT" or "-" search syntax?

You might try asking Daniel Escapa in his OneNote Blog
    http://blogs.msdn.com/descapa/archi...on-from-a-user-near-in-onenote-searching.aspx

    where he says,

Your syntax looks right to me.

I found some notes about searching in
Advanced Search Techniques from Nick White:

I did email him a few months ago about this.
    But I got no response.

    I will try again today.
    Hopefully he has an answer.

I'm hoping others can try using this syntax in their own OneNote installations.

That way I can confirm whether this is an internal OneNote deficiency.

    Thanks for the link.
    But it doesn't help me.

I've tried in both Vista & XP...
In both, OneNote refuses to accept these syntaxes.
