I am looking between a T7200 and a T5500 and want to know if I will take a hit in the battery life?

The answer is yes, but your estimate loss is about 5-10 minutes.

Each CPU has their voltages in which it affects the battery life, so technically going for the slowest CPU would yeild better batterylife, however many don't care about 5-10 minutes, they rather have the satisfaction of having a 2.0GHZ than anything lower.

So that choice of the CPU will be up to you.

Thanks for the info. The trade is a good one as far as I am concerned.

The 2.0Ghz ROCKS, I'm using the pen to write this reply in 64 bit Vista. It is so COOL.
