    The specs say it has Miracast (wireless display), why don't you get the Microsoft Wireless display dongle 2. I use both the first and second versions on my HP8EN and plan to use it for the DV8P that I have just ordered..

    Thanks for all the info guy!

    FZelle are you saying you can power Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 and at the same time connect it to a tv or monitor?

    using this:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IUXA9YK/

    is this all i need? plug the into the dv8 pro then plug power into the dongle and plug hdmi cable into dongle and tv? and thats it?

    thanks!!!

    No.
    They say that the normal Powersupply doesn't work, but the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FI7W7QO/ does
    I haven't testet it myself as i have a Thinkpad 8 and there "we" have a special y-kabel for power and usb3 data.

    Agreed I have the Microsoft Wireless display adapter V2 and it works great with little to no lag, even playing Videos. Just remember to keep the adapters firmware updated. Version 1 of the adapter works fine as well, I have not seen too much of a difference in performance although V2 claims better latency.
