It depends: it's a large amount, BUT if things were happening in the background--e.g. Windows updates--it's understandable. I would just keep an eye on it, over time, and see how it averages.

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket cooler to replace the OEM CPU cooler in the 7130? My avg temp with nominal use at 73C ambient, measured by HWMON, is about 58C, playing a video can kick it up to 63C and then the fan kicks in loud. Looking at the dell video ( Venue11 Pro 7130 thermal fan disassembly video | Dell ) , it doesn't look like they really had any intention for passive cooling, so the chip seems to run hot relying on the fan to cool it. Even my M4400 Intel Penryn runs cooler, averaging 28C with a light load. I set the max CPU performance to 95% and even tried the XTU tool to undervolt it to around 4.42 volts and reduced the max clock speed to 560MHz and the fan still kicks in when playing back video.

    Hey Guys,

i hope anyone can help me about my problem with the Dell Venue 8 Pro.

I have the 32GB Version and I have a problem with the sound after i installed a Windows 8.1 update.

The Sound is really low , I realyze that when I use the Virtual Keyboard from Windows. The Click sound from that is really low after the update, before it was much louder.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

    thanks

I have a question is it normal in Venue 8 Pro that two cores #2,3 even at idle work always at 1333MHz ?

    Here is screen from HWInfo
    [IMG]

Also as you can see Turbo mode with 1833MHz clock is only work on #0,1 cores.

Please could someone check this also and confirm ?
