I've done it. More information at this post:

The WWAN cards you listed aren't in the correct form-factor for the slot. My post lists the 2 that will work.

    It's a micro-SIM slot. It works.

    hi there,
just bought a 11'' european i3 config, with 3g support and I'm a bit puzzled : does it have GPS or not ?!
I mean not a software, but the module that will enable me, with the right software, to use the tablet for GPS navigation......

info on this seems a bit confusing :/

Without any research at all I believe the GPS would have to be a function of an add-on 3G/4G module. Research the 3G mobile adapter you have installed.

All my 11" i5 vPro has is an antenna with empty connections and the closest thing to GPS is my "Windows Location".

I just ordered it...haven't got it yet....but this seems a bit off not to have gps.
On some sites it says it has on others it's a blur.
Anyone who has a european i3 pro 11 could confirm this or not ?

still haven't got it yet, but I go confirmation from Dell that the SM04TV11P9JGERMB has the gps (in case anyone else gets here with the dilemma ) .....so it should work great with here maps.

the only question remains if the targus rugged case will cover the air vents of the iCore versions of the venue 11 tablets and by covering them might do some damage while using the tablet for basic tasks on the go,

Before doing something, do a complete restore from the recovery and then install all updates.

It might also be that you have automatic updates on, and the tablet has installed updates in the background.
I always switch it to check for updates and notify, but not install it self ( don't know the English description ).

Likely so, especially on Patch Tuesdays when there are mega-updates.
