HI, I am new to the post and just received a Dell Venue 11 Pro 4300y unit. Would anyone be able to tell me if the throttle fix works with the newest bios, A23 and the 4300y variant of the machine? Thanks.

Dell Venue 11 Pro 7139 on bios A25...

Thermal throttling stops after editing the values in grub and validating the changes in xtu. However, the power and gpu throttling still persists according to xtu once the temps reach 60-71C. I see a slight performance increase and can play xenonauts and retroarch without lag.

Hi everyone, would somebody hazard a guess as to if the info here can be applied to the Dell Venue Pro 7140 with the more powerful Core Ms inside? If they can be unlocked in the BIOS they have the potential to work like a fully fledged i5 laptop...

What is the average temperature you have in your tablet? I with the windows update has more than 60º.

Thanks for such a great thread to help me unlock throttling on my Venue 11 Pro 7130 MS (i5 4210Y)

I've read various forums over the past month and can't seem to figure out a few things, so any help will be greatly appreciated!
    • How do you get XTU to launch? Even with multiple re-installs, reboots, without throttlestop... I keep getting "If there is another performance tuning application running, you must close it before trying to start this application". It seems to load one in every 50 times I attempt to load it!

    • How do I stop the EDP current from appearing in yellow all the time, and red under bench test?

    • How do I stop PL1 flagging red under bench test?
    Thanks
