How can I get IFR.txt for A13 7130? I can't wait to try it out.
I think that as long as you have it plugged in, it works.
what about the solution to 7130 with i3 ?
to try ?
WOW! it works very well on DVP11 7130 vpro(i5 4300y) too! thanks!
The IFR could be valid also for 7130, but the guide is here: http://forum.techinferno.com/dell-l...uide]-dell-e6530-cpu-tdp-multi-unlocking.html
please to write manual step by step ) please
I am very so so in fix hardware ) I have i3-4020Y
Ok. So I've extracted IFR file for A13 7130 bios file. It seems it has same vars addresses. I did the changes from mods.txt (only the ones marked with *). Rebooted - didn't see any changes (not even removal of my personally hated 67 degrees temperature throttling). Afterwards did the memory address edit with bar-edit, and it worked! Partially. The temperature throttling is gone. But I didn't manage to see any effect of changing the turbo boost power max watts. I set it to 11w or 14w. I see a spike in performance for a second and then it's back to usual. ThrottleStop shows real tdp at 6W. Anyway even if TDP control doesn't work out - I am thankful for ability to get rid of thermal throttling!
it maybe cause of 7130 MS have Connected Standby. it have low power S0 idle function and so it doesn't enter S1-S3 state(normal sleep mode). that makes last step doesn't works.
Did you put the tablet to sleep after rewriting the memory address to 0x0000000 ? Is your battery meter showing "NOT charging" ?
After waking up it will show something like"0x00DC000".
I did put to sleep the tablet with power button for 3-4 seconds. I didn't look at the battery icon, because the AC charger was 10 meters away from me. I would have to try again the process of memory reset with bar-edit and check afterwards the battery meter and memory value for the address. Thanks.
