Ruh roh! Are you saying then mine is defective ;) I updated to version 3 bios and had to then go into the bios to get the display to turn off when shutting the lid.

I'd be interested to know if the 7140 is coming out with this as did the older model with I core processors did.

Also if anyone gets any luck with finding the LTE version let us know.

Looking at the Quick Start Guide, the SIM reader (and presumably the antennas) will only be found on the models specifically designated as being for LTE. These don't appear to be available in the US yet.

I am not aware of an option to turn the display off, but leave the device on. At least have not found it like on a laptop or desktop.

it's an usual option or laptop
here its only avaiable in advanced settings but what you set there is just copied to the power save times

Mine (and I'm guessing most people's) comes with the SIM reader, its just blocked by a solid plastic cover (the solid plastic next to the micro sd card).

I've already modified mine to allow SIM insertion/removal and installed a 5808e and antennas... wwan works great.

Modifying it to allow the SIM card is a destructive process though, you have to carve/file out the slot in the solid plastic.
