Dell Active Stylus shipping again...

    I was hoping that the delay that it had for 3 weeks was due to them figuring out the stylus was not that good. SO I decided to order one with egift card I got... figuring i would get it middle to end of Jan and its already shipping :(

    I really hope its an updated one, but I have a feeling it wont be.... supposed to get it on Wed

    Well, to help reduce your predicted disappointment, not all of them were giving trouble. Mine worked well out of the chute. So, maybe the delay was improve build quality to reduce the pen-to-pen variation that was causing the issue with some of them. If that is the case maybe you will still be pleasantly surprised....

    I would think it would take more than a couple of weeks to address any manufacturing issues and start shipping fixed pens. Guess we'll see.

    Just saw that the one I ordered Dec. 1st shipped this morning. Will be delivered tomorrow night so that I can start using.

    Actually, I have made a career out of being involved in manufacturing and every minute of downtime is a huge emergency. Two or three weeks of downtime is enough to retool the line! We shall see very soon I think...

    Luckily, DELL is a for-profit company. It really is in their best interest to fill the QA issues. The returns and bad press quickly add to expected sales being lost.

    .. But then again, this is a company that has provided the worst customer support I've ever experienced.. so...

    I also just got notified the stylus is shipping to me on Wednesday. The folio is still backordered.

    My status for the stylus and tablet case has changed to shipped. Now I just need the damn tablet.
