Nice. As usual I configured it to get a config I'd like, and unsurprisingly once you go to i7 and a 1TB SSD and the OneLink+ dock, you're back up to real money. That's the thing about the super slim X1 Yoga, you can't pop a cost-effective SSD in yourself (right?), since it's not easy to open and service.

That is a pretty amazing deal, and it's super light. Anyone know what kind of pen tech it is? It seems very much up for debate.

Are the bezels really so thin? This could be a Surface 3 upgrade some have looked for, depending on the stylus.

    Dimensions
    Matebook 12"
    10.97 x 7.64 x 0.27 in (278.80 x 194.10 x 6.90 mm)
    1.41 lbs (639.56 g)

    Surface 3 10.8"
    10.52 x 7.36 x 0.34 in (267 x 187 x 8.7 mm)
    1.37 lbs (621 g)

Agreed, that's why I was looking at it at the time, but then I got this insane (now expired) $600 with type cover deal on a Surface Pro 4. That deal didn't include the stylus, and I ended up paying around $680 with stylus and taxes. If you're OK with Huawei's keyboard folio approach and their stylus+laser combo, this is at least as good a deal.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but some time ago when we saw it on sale on Amazon for around $450, the reason my brother noted as to why he didn't want the MateBook was the battery life. Check the NotebookCheck fanless tablet face-off below. It gets nearly half the battery life of the Surface Pro 4 m3 in the Wi-Fi and Reader/Idle battery tests. If you are fine with this knowing full well this drawback going into the purchase, it is quite a good deal, though, I suppose:

I also forgot about this and other reviews as well. "Poor battery life" is often stated explicitly in the MateBook reviews online:
