Couldnt take W10 on Yoga Pro 3, downgraded to W8.1

Bought one as a gift to my wife during the $699 deal days.

For the life of me, I cant understand why they threw the beautiful tablet implementation in W8 away and replaced it with godawful W10 implementation.

Day 2, I fresh-installed W8. Use rufus to make a USB drive bootable with W8 (note - cant be NTFS, it wont boot off that !). There's a dedicated "lenovo" button that brings you to the BIOS/boot selection menu (more of less instantly) - boot off that drive.

Usual install - but you might need a, drum roll, MAGNIFYING glass for first few minutes of installation.

During install, you will see that the stock drive has about 6 different partitions on it. I removed all of them.

Back to "modern IE" heaven !
