My HP Compaq TC4200 is now running on Windows HP Home Edition and the tablet function is not working (i.e. the screen does not respond to the brand new replacement pen I just purchased). I assumed it was because XP has a specific Tablet Edition, so I recently purchased a Windows Vista Ultimate upgrade. Will this OS make enable my tablet pc to function like it should?

(I hope this makes sense! I am admittedly not very knowledgeable about my tablet and joined this forum to remedy that!)

    Thank You :)

Tablet functionality requires a unique version of Windows XP to function ("Windows XP Tablet Edition") or any version of Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Thus, install the Vista upgrade you've purchased. Then visit the HP website, look up your Tablet model in the support section and download the drivers shown and install them all. You should then get full functionality.
