Just wanted to give my impressions from what I saw on the CES floor today:

The computer ins't finished so take everything with a grain of salt

    The Good:

The pen wrote really well, it didn't skip once, even on the edges near the bottom of the screen

The pen is N-Trig and battery powered

The computer is sturdy, light and the size is very nice. It's very easy to hold and write at the same time.

    The Bad:

The navigation with the pen was difficult, I would try to bring up the keyboard menu to do handwriting and the pen would constantly miss. Edited: This is not a knock on windows, I found navigation with the Asus EP 121 pen great, this is a motion computing problem.

The pen dock isn't well thought out, it's difficult to get the pen out and there's nothing to really grab onto (like a pocket clip) which makes it doubly hard.

It's pre production so windows was a little unresponsive.

I'm going back tomorrow to check it out more extensively, but that is what I've found so far.

Thanks for the update and the insights. This unit took a lot of us here on TPCR by surprise, especially the 'under 1,000 estimate' for a Motion.

Does Motion have anything else going at their booth?

It's actually an Intel booth that I saw it at, I'm heading to the motion booth tomorrow to see the rest of what they got.

Interesting note, the CL 900 was running an ExoPC skin today at the show.

They mentioned that the two companies were in talks about putting it on the CL900.
