Its about Time Wacom wised up to a single cord connection....now it goes perfectly hand in hand with the USB-C Macbook Pros.

However......if the Desktop or Laptop you plan on tethering the Cintiq to doesn't have any USB C ports.......assuming you use a USB 3 to USB C adapter or dongle.....would it still be able to cover the power needs of the Cintiq?

Here is a picture from the side to get a better sense of the thickness:

Not sure what exakt kind of adapter you mean. I would be skeptical whether those adapters with USB-C plug on one end and DP and USB-A ports on the other end would work both ways. A regular USB 3.0 Type-A port also delivers only 4.5 Watt (7.5 Watt if it supports USB Battery Charging 1.2 spec). So that might not be enough (the Cintiq13HD has a max. power draw of 9 Watt).

What I ask myself is whether these Cintiq Pro will depend on power through USB-Power Delivery or whether they will work with "standard" USB-C chargers at 5V/3A. The 15 Watt that the latter provides should be enough to power the device. In that case it maybe could also be powered by the USB-C port on your laptop. Then it would be really a single-cable solution. But I also don't know how many devices with a "fully-featured" USB-C port really deliver a 15W output.

But Wacom might use a different voltage which then would mean that you need a USB-PD charger or powerbank.

The 13.3" version is only FHD? For how many thousands of dollars?

I would argue this is quite unclear as of yet. In the initial announcement they stated higher res and higher color gamut, so in theory it would make sense if they simply reuse the QHD display from the MobileStudioPro 13.

On that unfinished product page it says 1920x1080 at 89% Adobe RGB (The MSP13 has 97% and 2560x1440, while the Cintiq13HD had 75% Adobe RGB).

But Wacom's product management did a really "good" job at that Sydney event where they labelled it as such:

    - 13.3" full QHD (1920x1080) display (ehm, problems deciding?, QHD ain't 1920x1080)
    - 9128 levels of pressure sensitivity (uh, someone typing too fast?, 9-1-2-8 -> 8-1-9-2)
    - 87% Adobe RGB color gamut (ah, yet another different spec number)

It just looks to me like they are in typical pre-launch "Customer Confusion Mode". In that latest video the guy mentioned an announcement next week, so maybe then we will have the real specs.

The US prices seem to have been released on their official site.

    Cintiq Pro 13: $999.95
    https://us-store.wacom.com/Product/wacom-cintiq-pro-13-s01

    Cintiq Pro 16: $1,499.95
    https://us-store.wacom.com/Product/wacom-cintiq-pro-16-s01

    Some things of note:
    - the 13" is 1080p HD, the 16" is Ultra HD 3840 x 2160
    - 13" has 87% Adobe RGB gamut, 16" has 94%
    - doesn't include the remote (expected I guess, still disappointing)
    - doesn't include a stand, just the pop-out legs
    - includes 6 standard nibs and 4 felt nibs
(unconfirmed) - includes Wacom Link with USB-C, Mini DisplayPort and USB type A cable/connectors
    - max power consumption is listed as 20 W for both products

Probably missed a few things, kind of in a hurry, sorry. (Thanks Azzart and Kvoram for the corrections!)

    Wacom link is optional too.

    Or maybe not.
They say is optional in one entry and included in the other. -.-

LOL, yeah their pages are confusing. Sorry! But if the Wacom Link is mentioned as optional for MSP, it's probably optional here too. I'll just remove it for now until we get some clarification. =D
