Bring me back to those days...

I'm a Gen Y'er...even though I got to live through the great "internet revolution", "4th industrial revolution" and all that, I feel like tech was more exciting back then.

Every new release represented such a huge technological leap...there was so much to invent.

Tech is mostly boring nowadays but every so often you'll get spurts like the last few days where it feels like we're living in fast forward.

That's purely because Microsoft decided to pivot in direction...and they have a laser-focused design team with a passionate leader at the helm.

So I wouldn't say it's so much a spontaneous development from the industry as a whole, but really that magic combination of large corp resources + bright team; whereas before, I felt like all you needed was a bright team.

I figured they'd be swapping out the old for the new 13HD, but you're right. They'll probably push the price up on it because of that.

But I can't believe they'd price the 16 the same as their 22" model. That would be too much, even for them! (But then again.., Wacom.)

    Time will tell!

(I'm off to watch your video! I was an Amiga boy in my teens!)

EDIT**** -Have you seen "Halt and Catch Fire"? (It's a little annoying with all the petty drama, but also really cool to see the 80's computer revolution story told.)

I don' think the starting price is going to be $1300, since you could get that WITH a full computer inside for $1500 with the Mobile Studio Pro. Not to mention that the MSP has included controls vs. the "blank" Cintiq Pro. So far it is unclear whether the Cintiq Pro will include the ExpressKey Remote, but I guess it won't.
Who would buy a monitor for $1300 when you can get that plus a full PC inside for just $200 more?

Playing around with the URL, I found the product page, but that seems to be still a work-in-progress (it's the same for every region):

My favorite show, despite the petty drama. (What is the deal with the chip on Cameron's shoulder?) The Amiga got quite a few closeups and shoutouts this season. The producers must be Commodore fans, given all the C64s in the first two seasons.

Oh you want a pen with that $3000 Cintiq? That's another $100.

Didn't you listen to Apple's Phil Schiller? There is no such thing as greed, it's called courage!
