Is it possible to fit the X200t's palmrest without the trackpad on the X201t? I love the trackpoint and the trackpad just makes the whole thing look overly cluttered.

I'm almost positive that would work. Alternatively you could just order it without the touchpad (although I'll assume you already have an x201T in hand). I also definitely agree on it being better without a touchpad.

Well I guess I'll just order one and find out :D
I do indeed have a 201t at hand but haven't had much time to use it properly. I'm looking to get a SSD next week and doing a clean install before I run it through its paces.

I had the x60t (which has no trackpad) and got the x201t, figuring I'd just hate and disable the trackpad. It's grown on me, however, and never gotten in the way. The fact that it support gestures (pinch, rotate, etc.) makes it pretty cool, and now I like the way the laptop looks with it.

I've change the palm rests, with the one from the X200t. Part number 45N3129 Works perfectly as presumed in case someone else wants to do the same.

Does this mean I can put an X201T palm rest "with touchpad" to my X200T? Or will my BIOS not recognize it? I love using the TrackPoint, but after over a year of constant usage, I've developing very bad pains in all my fingers (I switched fingers to alleviate the pain, but now all my fingers are experiencing pains).

There's no touchpad connector on the motherboard.
