Does anyone know of some excellent cases to use with my X41 w/ the extended battery? I really want something very small that either: 1) fits the laptop like a glove and can act as padding that can be placed in another bag, or 2) Can fit the laptop and one 1-inch binder. Point is, I need this to be small, light, and form-fitting.
    Any ideas?

I would go to ebags.com and find a "computer sleeve". They are relatively inexpensive and would allow you to place your X41 in another bag (while in the sleeve). You can read the dimensions on the various sleeves to fit your X41 w/ the extended battery.

Try spireusa.com. They have sleeves for the tablet and if you want a backpack to put it in they have that as well. I bought one last year and swear by it! They're a little more expensive, but this is one item you don't want to skimp on.

    Rankine,
Do you have the extended battery, and if so, what size bag did you use?

    Thanks,
    Cameron

Right now, I have a 15" laptop so I couldn't recommend which one to buy. But their site has recommendations along with measurements, and if in doubt I'd call them.

Well I emailed spireusa.com and received sad news: I'd have to move up to the larger size in order to fit this extended battery. I would, as a result, lose all of the tight fitting padding and true compactness of the whole thing. Their products were exactly what I was looking for: they had a messenger/courier bag with a removable laptop sleeve that has handles and a document pouch. Exactly what i wanted!
As much as I love this extended battery, it is really a mixed blessing when it comes to finding a case.

    Any other ideas guys?

    Barry,
I checked out ebags.com and saw some good prospects, but nothing fitted the computer with the tightness I wanted; there was always about 1-2in. of extra room (useless space).
Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
    Thanks!!

    Barry,
It looks as if the dimensions are ~ (not my use of the approximate sign, for I am not very skilled using the pathetic ruler on the side of my protractor) 10.75 (wide) X10.3 (deep [as in from front to back of battery])X1.1 (thick).
Hope this helps and thanks for everything guys!!
