I had never really used the power of the dedicated graphics card that is on the c314 -- so I was surprised to see that Elder Scrolls Oblivion is so terribly sluggish. Is this a common thing for the model??

I remember Barry's review saying that games worked well on the c314. Just curious to see if others have had the same issues, even if with other games.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion is a pretty demanding game -- you'd need something with more "Go" (no pun intended) than that 6200 video card. The 6400 at least and the nVidia 7800 or 7900 would be optimal.

Out of curiousity, how does the Quadro NVS110 in the M7 compare to the 6200?

Funny thing is that TurboCache brings total memory to 128mb. (I think its 32 on-board).

i don't think Obvilion has a much better graphics than that of Half-Life 2, and that last worked perfectly on my old P4 desktop, that had Radeon A7000 (64MB) and only 256MB of RAM!!

try different video settings - lowering the resolution always helps, or just check your video drivers

i don't really know much about computers but i am planning on getting a laptop soon and have my sights on the acer c314. However, i wanted an all around computer with the tablet flexibility. Would it be possible to upgrade the video card to something better? if possible, which ones would work fine without any problems. thanks for your help

Hi psyke14 - you cannot upgrade the video card in an acer c310 series.
