Per the title, I currently have an LE1600. While I really like the form factor and digitizer, it is molasses slow. So essentially I'm looking for an LE1600 that can keep up in 2019.

    2. Additional requests ~ anything other you wish to take into consideration?
If it can use a keyboard, it must be detachable.

@RecklessMaker you can score Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet 1st or 2nd Gen, Toshiba Portege Z20T-B or Z20T-C, HP Elite X2 1012 G1 within your budget. All these are tablets with detachable keyboards; Toshiba is EMR, while Thinkpad & HP are AES. I definitely suggest at least 8GB RAM versions, maybe 16GB RAM if you find it on the cheap - unlike SSDs, you won't be able to upgrade it later. All these tablets have Core M CPUs - somewhat faster than what you can find in Surface Go, but behind modern quad-cores; still, either will run in circles fly faster than light around your LE1600, performance-wise.

@Starlight5 That was actually quite prescient as I ended up going with this HP Elite X2 1012 G1. It seemed like a good deal and so far I really like it. You're absolutely right about it annihilating the LE1600 performance-wise lol.
