Back at CES I got some time with the Brydge 12.3, a clip-on keyboard designed specifically for the Surface Pro 4 and Pro 3. This accessory is going to be released soon, and pre-order pricing is ending today.

Right now, the standard version is $139.99 if pre-ordered, and the regular price will be $149.99. The version that also acts as a 128 GB hard drive is $269.99, while the retail price will be $299.99.

Don't miss my first thoughts on this keyboard:

@Ed Hardy While it is not something for me due to being overpriced, I was stil wondering: How snug is the fit based on your hands-on? Do you think if you were tilting it or carrying it, that the Surface Pro could glide out of the "hooks" easily?

Not at all. I've reviewed the earlier versions for iPad Air and iPad Pro and these had no problems with coming apart. My basic testing of the Surface Pro version at CES indicated it should be the same. Brydge had the clip/hinge thing right.
