Has anyone given the new BIOS a try yet? It was just posted last night.

I just checked mine, and it is already 88.07. Maybe some older systems don't yet have it. Not sure why it was just posted.

I saw the same thing. When I downloaded and extracted the files, the readme indicated BIOS ver 88.07, dated 01/16/2008. Perhaps a new file date for the entire download file just to update the info inside that the BIOS is also for the new C-143s?

    I updated... I think I was still on 88.03...

I don't see a difference... Anyone? What was this update for?

I updated & it seems to have fixed my overheating problem. Finally!!! No more blowing into my fan to restart it several times a day.

For some reason it won't let me flash my bios...I currently have bios 88.05

when i go to flash it, i get an error saying "Cannot load driver C:\cabs\9539563\WinPhlash\PHLASHNT.SYS. Please check your accounts, if you have no administrator privilege, please login again! This driver has been blocked from loading Error code: 1275" I tried taking ownership of the file (PHLASHNT.SYS) as we"ll as giving my account full control over the file. I also tried loging in from the Vista Administrator account and got the same error.

Anyone got any ideas on what i could do? Is it even worth the effort to upgrade from 88.05 to 88.07? have there been any significant upgrades?

    Thanks!

Do you have 64 bit vista? Because i got this same message. There is a long and complicated work around to get it to work but its more trouble than its worth.

Also my pc has shutdown from overheat twice this week ever since i installed it even though it hasn't overheated for 6 months before the updae. Has this happened to anyone else?
