:hi2: Hi, I just got an EP121 that was loaded with Windows 8 Pro. I think it is going to be a really great tablet and have gotten the back light working properly and all of the drivers loaded and working but the fans continue to run full speed. I can't see any damage to the thermal sensor cable or its attachment mechanism. Having bought it with Win 8 and it having Bios 501 v1930, I thought that flashing Bios 701 might take care of the fan noise. Problem is that I installed the v1.0.0002 ATK package but still get the error trying to install WinFlash. So, how might I get WinFlash installed and flash the 701 Bios, and if Bios 701 doesn't quiet down the fans then what can be done? I would think there must be some program like the Asus FAN Xpert that can control the fans speed based on cpu core temps. Thanks. PS: Is a screen protector needed or a just a waste of time and money?
