add /nodate to your winflash property Target cmd line.
    look like this
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\WinFlash\WinFlash.exe" /nodate

if you have no problem don't bother to risk..going back..401

I updated about the day it came out, and have been fine. Wish there were release notes, tho....

Fwiw, I still have the stock 401 and no issues in about 7 weeks or so.

    BIOS 401
    Update thermal policy

    BIOS 501

I’ve seen ASUS pull BIOS before. I think the last time I came across it was with the ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard, although, in that case it was a beta if I recall correctly. I’m sure something new will be up sooner or later, as perplexing or irritating as this may be.

    ***edit***

    I see BIOS 501 is dated 2011.05.12,……

I've been using the 601 for the past weeks, and I have no problems.

If you look at the file inside the zips they actually are dated:
    401 -- 1/11.2011
    501 -- 1/26/2011
    601 -- 4/25/2011

I installed Bios 601 when it came out, and there was no problem. I just flashed the Bios back to 501, because I do not feel comfortable to keep 601 after Asus pulled it back.
