BIOS 601 pulled?

    Hmm...it looks like the latest BIOS (601) has been pulled. 401 is the only available at the moment. I've been complaining to Asus about the thermal policy...hopefully we will see an update with some improvement.

    that is a 501..not sure ASUS has just update it and rename it back to 501...bad document control system if they do that and would not pass any certifications.

    may be lots return repairs due to 501 and 601 bios..

    Too noisy. There is absolutely no reason at all to have the fans running most of the time at the level that they do. I (and others) have monitored the temps religiously, and have found that the temps that the machine runs at during normal (low stress) operations do not warrant 3-4K RPM operation.

    What feedback have they given you? Did they even acknowledge it as a problem?
